Love when I make people cry… tears of joy, that is! Seriously, it’s the best. That’s what happened when I surprised one of my best friend at her birthday brunch at Barbrix Wine Bar in Los Angeles. I flew in a day early just to be there. It was perfect.

Speaking of perfection, Barbrix’s outdoor airy patio was a great location to spend the first weekend in October, which in L.A. happened to be an unbearable 80 degrees (I joke).

The intimate eatery has an effortlessly cool vibe and boasts a creative Mediterranean small plates & a curated wine list. Their happy hour menu is both incredibly tasty and reasonably priced. And get this: weekend brunch includes  a “bottomless mimosa” option for $8 with an entree. Need I say more?
