About one year ago today (thanks journal), I was sunbathing with the Spaniards on San Sebastian’s famed topless beach, Playa De La Concha. I had planned on meeting a friend a couple days later but for time being I was by myself.

Of course, San Sebastian– a resort town located in Spain’s northern, mountainous Basque Country– was a dream. But even with its warm people and beautiful scenery, I was still surprised with how effortless everything was.

Men, women, of all ages and sizes enjoying each other, smoking and sharing spliffs while basking in the Spanish sun. I remember thinking, “this is EXACTLY what life should be.”
