New Yorkers come alive when the weather is nice. ( That’s also when I realized how just many people actually live in the city). Everyone’s out and about and in a good mood– soaking up some much-needed Vitamin D that has eluded them all year.
Which brings me to one of the things I really enjoy about NYC… its plethora of options to brunch outdoors. There are almost too many places to choose from. Luckily, my friends are pros.
Today’s pick was The Farm on Adderly in Ditmus Park, Brooklyn. Most Manhattanites would consider that deep, DEEP BK. But if you rarely leave the city (you know who you are), this adventure is well-worth it.
The airy restaurant has a rustic, chic charm and its outdoor patio is a must. And though the place isn’t named for an actual farm, Adderly’s menu leans heavy on local and seasonal ingredients that can best be described as comfort food with a twist.
Our table ordered the Farm Burger, Red Flannel Hash, Bread & Dip, and the Chicken Schnitzel, all of which I would personally recommend.
Consensus? We’ll be back.
