The African monsoon– March, April, and May– results in increased water levels and thick, dense shrubbery across the plains. The Serengeti is buzzing with life this time of year.
Fast-forward to our family trip in mid October, aka dry season and the grass was a bit sparse and yellow. This photo is one of the many times where we happened upon a pair of giraffes enjoying the dry, scattered landscape.
I imagine that they’re buddies. Just hanging out and enjoying a light, crunchy snack.
